Why is there Christmas?

I have always wondered why is there Christmas, especially in this day and age of conflict, false information (publicly and theologically), violence,  and sexual tension?  Why have it at all?

Why is there Christmas?  Peace.  We need peace.  The Baby in the manager is the Prince of Peace.  Yet what is peace?  The root word for peace in the Hebrew is salem.  It does not mean peace, it means to repay.  What?  Jesus came to repay God for the wrongs we have done.  Since we cannot make the repayment, Jesus did.  Since His death on the cross is our repayment, we now have the opportunity to go to God directly thus no more conflict with God.   We have no conflict with God, we have peace.  Peace is not the absence of conflict, but it really means wholeness or completeness.

Wholeness and completeness is one tough pill to swallow.  How does one get that?  Simple.  Jesus said if we allow Him to dwell with us, he will bring His Spirit in our lives and our lives will be complete.  There will be the absence of conflict with our selves and others.

Peace.  Check it out;..  John 14
