Thanksgiving is over. Whether you traveled or not, it was just not the same. The stress of covid, elections, and traveling tensions can be too much. Of course, depending upon the state, there is the all important mask. Where is that thing anyway?
What is Thanksgiving? After the first year, the Pilgrims celebrated a harvest with the help of the local Indians. While it was not much, they were extremely happy to be alive and to have new friends. For days they celebrated life with the Indians, playing games, eating, and giving thanks to God for what He had provided.
Giving thanks is now a lost art. Instead we complain about everything without noticing the good people, jobs, and life that we have been given. So, take a moment and give thanks. It will do you a world of good and it will return your focus to the one who has given us a reason to live–God.
